Events and networking
Our events are well attended by senior executives, entrepreneurs, industry experts, and government officials. It is a unique platform for companies to engage with decision and policy makers from across both nations.
We hold live events in Auckland and Christchurch together with a number of digital seminars throughout the year. These events are timely and discuss issues of global and national interest. Past events have included discussions on the impact of the FTA, Brexit, the future of work and the Race to Zero.
Events are free or at a subsidised rate for members.
With strong connections to representatives from the UK and New Zealand governments together with a range of business and industry groups the BNZBA can help facilitate introductions for our Corporate members.
We are also affiliated with the British Chambers of Commerce Global Business Network. This network helps companies seeking assistance with market entry into the UK and other global networking opportunities.
Sponsorship and PR
Members are encouraged to participate in events. We are happy to help promote a cause or debate on informative and topical issues affecting your business. This has included events such as the "Curry and a Pint" night for the construction and infrastructure industry and the regular Jaguar Land Rover Art of Performance events.
For Corporate members there are numerous opportunities to help promote and brand your business through the BNZBA network. All new members are announced in our newsletter, on LinkedIn and through our website.
Our newsletter also provides opportunities for companies to highlight their activities and brand stories. Each month a spotlight is shone on one member. The Spotlight series provides an opportunity for a member to provide a more detailed look at their business.
Additional benefits of the newsletter include:
A channel to promote your company and your news
Inviting BNZBA members to your company events
Offering a product or service at a discount either exclusively to members or to the wider readership
There are opportunities for members to be invited to meet high level government and business representatives in discreet settings. This provides opportunities for face-to-face, one-on-one engagement with decision makers.
Membership Directory listings
Corporate member companies are listed in our online Membership Directory.
On occasion we are asked to provide the media with introductions to members who may be able to provide their insight on a particular topic relating to the UK/New Zealand relationship. In such cases we will reach out to appropriate member companies directly.
