International Women's Day 2026: UK–NZ Partnerships Advancing Women's Leadership

Join us for a special International Women's Day panel discussion and networking lunch celebrating women's leadership, inclusive trade, and the powerful partnerships between the United Kingdom and New Zealand.
Hosted by the British New Zealand Business Association (BNZBA), the British Consulate-General Auckland and HSBC, this event brings together senior leaders, innovators, and decision‑makers to explore how the UK–NZ relationship is advancing women's economic empowerment across business, trade, and innovation.
Hear from inspiring leaders across government and industry, including keynote remarks from a senior UK Government visitor, and gain insights from a panel of influential women shaping the future of commerce and international collaboration. Our panel will include:
• Sophie Blyth, Director, HSBC Innovation Banking Australia and New Zealand
• Daniela McKenzie, Chief Strategy Officer, Ternary Kinetics
• Mayurie Gunatilaka, Principal,/New Zealand Country Leader, Arup
The event will be led by Sophie Warner-Fog, British Consul General Auckland, and the [he panel discussion will be moderated by Dr.Victoria Hatton, CEO FoodHQ and Vice President of the BNZBA
Alongside the main discussion, the event will shine a spotlight on young female entrepreneurs who have participated in the the King's Trust Aotearoa New Zealand Enterprise Programme and attendees are encouraged to also register emerging leaders as part of our shared commitment to supporting the next generation. We will also be signalling the upcoming launch of the Kōtare Network, a new Young Professionals initiative designed to deepen UK–NZ engagement and create fresh opportunities for rising talent. The network will officially launch in the weeks following this event.
