New Zealand is not alone in that the growth in its urban population is bringing challenges such as unaffordable housing, high urban land prices, increasing greenhouse gas emissions, lack of transport choice, increasing numbers of people experiencing homelessness and pressure on the public housing register. Well conceived urban regeneration could overcome these challenges through economic revitalization, job creation, infrastructure renovation, and environmental improvement but that will require having a long term vision.
Our panel for this discussion on this critical topic are :
Lucy Tukua, Technical Director of Regenerative Outcomes, Kaihautū Whakarito, Mott MacDonald
Gosha Haley, Principal, Grimshaw New Zealand
Richard Mclellan, Director, Turner & Townsend
The discussion will be facilitated by Ben van Bruggen founder of The Urban Room
Our thanks to Anthony Harper for their support of this event
